Daniel’s artwork has been a sacred part of my grief journey. As a bereaved mom and wife, I searched for a way to move forward with hope while trusting that the love I share with my loved ones is eternal and never truly lost. His powerful and inspired art has given me comfort, meaning,
and helped me honor the lives and souls of those I carry forever in my heart.

“Daniel’s children’s book is a rare kind of magic—gentle, honest, and deeply comforting. Through the unforgettable character of Belle the Elephant, he explores love and loss with a tenderness that feels perfectly attuned to young hearts. The story meets children where they are, offering space for big feelings while wrapping them in warmth and hope. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful—soft, expressive, and full of quiet detail. Belle herself is instantly lovable. My three-year-old daughter fell in love with her on the very first page, and that connection turned storytime into something more: a moment of closeness, conversation, and emotional safety. This book is a gift—for children learning to understand change and for adults helping guide them through it. Daniel has created something truly special: a story that lingers long after the last page, reminding us that love stays with us, even through loss.”

While watching the story of Baby Belle with my granddaughter, she was completely captivated by the character. Her little face krinkled with puzzlement when Belle lost her heart and the ensuing highs and lows of the journey. When happiness returned to Belle in the form of the beautiful red bird in the place of her heart, the joy in my granddaughter's face was followed by a big smile and an exclamation of "AWESOME ".

Belle’s journey meant so much to us. This story was a beautiful reminder that even through loss, God’s love remains. And because Estela loves elephants, Belle immediately became one of her favorite characters

Reading Daniel's story regarding loss and filling the void was very moving. Even though it was geared towards children, people of all ages can connect with it.

Your work really moved me, it captures the pain of being lost, but also the quiet courage it takes to find yourself again. It reminded me that healing and happiness aren’t loud… they’re brave. I’m really grateful you shared this with me
